If Angela doesn’t get a liver transplant soon, her 9-year-old daughter will be orphaned. And her 82-year-old mother — too weak to even walk properly — will be left on the streets.
Angela, a 39-year-old teacher, has been the only pillar holding her small family together.

Ever since her husband abandoned them seven years ago, she’s carried every burden alone — earning, caring, managing the home, and ensuring her daughter never felt the absence of a father.

But fate has turned cruel
In 2019, Angela’s health began collapsing. Severe stomach infections, multiple operations, and now — liver failure. Her body is swollen, her strength fading, and her doctors say a liver transplant is the only way to survive. Without it, time is running out.

Angela was once the provider — now, she lies in pain, unable to even stand
Her 82-year-old mother, frail and unwell herself, tries to take care of her and the child. And her young daughter — who should be worrying about homework and school friends — now spends her days running errands, cooking simple meals, and sitting beside her mother’s hospital bed, whispering, “Please don’t leave me, Ma.”

While other children her age draw Diwali rangolis and play in the park, she has learned to mix medicines and wipe her mother’s forehead.

She’s growing up faster than she should — because she knows if something happens to her mother, she’ll be left all alone. An orphan, with only her ailing grandmother who can barely walk.
Angela fears not for herself, but for them — “What will happen to my daughter? Who will care for her when I’m gone?”

With no job, no savings, and no family support, Angela’s fight for life is also a fight for her child’s future.
